Write to magazines, photographers, studios… anything. Don’t put it off; it’s always worth a shot!
Endeavour to return to a routine where running is an almost daily activity.
When feeling fit and well enough; go to crossfit occasionally and see if you can steadily increase the frequency with which you go.
Have more sex.
Find a new job. The aim is simply to keep this period of being on JSA to a minimum. Don’t stress about finding the dream job. Find a job first, then don’t lose the momentum of applying for new jobs. Keep pushing.
Go out socially sober more often and take baby steps in overcoming the social phobia that remains. Read the material, listen to the podcasts, do the exercises. Get confident stupid!
More Wing Chun and more work on developing your own reality drilling strategy. Don’t be afraid to teach in class; it’ll do you good to practise public speaking. The people are there to learn and you do know a lot about it, so they will listen. Your voice will grow stronger the more you use it.
Try new activities. e.g. life drawing, salsa dancing, cookery, acting classes, a new instrument, go back to Welsh lessons… anything. You don’t have to see it as a serious new obsession, just something fun to try.
Try and get out of the country a couple of times this year. Even if it’s only for a short break.
Look into the help available for moving out. Find potential housemates. Try and get support from your parents if you think it might be necessary.
Keep up the reading. Try and keep a variety of things on-hand to read e.g. classic fiction, popular science, philosophy, psychology, art history (photography).
Try shooting for SG or Zivity more. It gets you meeting new (and often attractive and female) people. You get to practise new photography ideas. There’s nothing to lose really.
